HARRISBURG – The House Consumer Affairs Committee unanimously approved legislation sponsored by Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) that would allow for greater tracking by law enforcement of stolen jewelry and other items containing precious metals, as well as fight the opioid epidemic as the sales often fund the purchase of illegal drugs.

Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) welcomed principals, superintendents and teachers representing schools in the 71st district to his office to hear from United States Army soldiers about the Army Reserve Minuteman Scholarship, which covers full tuition and fees or $10,000 per year toward room and board at any college or university served by an Army (ROTC) program.
