Rigby to Honor Fallen Firefighters in Bridge Renaming Ceremony

WHAT: A ceremony hosted by state Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) will officially rename the Franklin Street bridge which crosses the Stonycreek River as the City of Johnstown Firefighters Memorial Bridge. The name change is being made possible through House legislation authored by Rigby during the 2019-20 Legislative Session and will memorialize seven firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the residents of Johnstown.

HARRISBURG – State Reps. Tommy Sankey (R-Osceola Mills) and Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) today voted to support Senate Bill 255, the primary piece of legislation which makes up the 2021-22 state budget package. The bill, which passed by a 140-61 margin, now goes to the state Senate for consideration.
