Rigby to Host Veterans Breakfast

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) invites veterans who live in the 71st Legislative District to attend a free breakfast he is hosting on Friday, Nov. 14, at Cresson American Legion Post 238, 222 Ashcroft Ave., Cresson. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served beginning at 9 a.m. 

“Our guest speaker will be American Legion Post Commander Scott Eberhart,” Rigby said. “Getting together with the men and women who serve and have served our country is not just an opportunity for us to say thank you. It’s a chance for them to share stories and enjoy fellowship and comradery with each other.”

Veterans who plan to attend may bring one guest and must reside in the 71st District, which consists of the following municipalities: in Cambria County, the townships of Adams, Allegheny, Chest, Clearfield, Cresson, Dean, Gallitzin, Munster, Portage, Reade, Richland, Stonycreek, Summerhill, Washington and White; and the boroughs of Ashville, Cassandra, Chest Springs, Cresson, Ferndale, Gallitzin, Geistown, Lilly, Loretto, Portage, Sankertown, Scalp Level, South Fork, Tunnelhill and Wilmore; and in Somerset County, the townships of Ogle and Paint and the boroughs of Paint and Windber.
