HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) announced today that multiple schools across the 71st Legislative District have received funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC).

“I am glad to see several schools in the 71st District receive these grant dollars,” said Rigby. “Making sure our students are safe and have strong mental health support will improve the quality of their education. This funding will be put to good use and help our students achieve their potential in school and beyond.”

The following eight school districts received safety and mental health grants:

• Cambria Heights School District - $123,830
• Conemaugh Township Area School District - $113,820
• Ferndale Area School District - $111,948
• Forest Hills School District - $131,391
• Penn Cambria School District - $128,208
• Portage Area School District - $115,160
• Richland School District - $128,517
• Windber Area School District - $122,764
