HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) is preparing to host the first in a series of public meetings designed to allow residents of the district he represents to get the latest information and ask questions about state government issues.

“While we have 71st Legislative District offices in Cresson, Ferndale and Windber, these get togethers will bring state government a little closer to our constituents’ front door,” Rigby said. “My staff and I are looking forward to meeting our friends and neighbors and providing both information on the services we provide and the latest news from the state Capitol.”

Rigby’s four “Coffee and Conversation” events will take place between 10-11:30 a.m. on the following dates:

    • This Friday, March 1 - Portage Borough Council chambers, 721 Main St., Portage.
    • Thursday, March 7 - Rigby’s Windber district office (Leone’s Market), 1914 Graham Ave.
    • Friday, March 15 - Gallitzin Borough Building, 411 Convent St.
    • Friday, March 22 - Dean Township Building, 145 McMuldren St., Dysart
