Rigby Resumes Outreach Opportunity for Local Veterans
June 24, 2020
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) hopes the men and women who serve and have served our country will take advantage of a monthly opportunity he is once again providing.
“Offering veterans a chance to, on a regular basis, discuss their individual problems or examine programs for which they may be eligible is the least we can do for all they have sacrificed for us,” said Rigby.
On the third Tuesday of every month, a representative from the Pennsylvania American Legion visits Rigby’s Johnstown district office from 2-4:30 p.m. The office is located at 1340 Franklin St.
“This is a great time for veterans, their families and caregivers to ask questions about programs such as disability compensation claims, veteran or surviving spouse pensions, DD214s and burial and death benefits,” Rigby added. “It’s important to note you do not need to be an American Legion member in order to take advantage of this service.”
Anyone interested in scheduling an appointment for Tuesday, July 21, should call the office at 814-536-9818.
