Rigby to Serve as Keynote Speaker for Veterans Breakfast
11/6/2019
HARRISBURG – Ferndale Area High School-grad and 71st Legislative District state Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) will be the featured speaker this Friday, Nov. 8, at the school’s inaugural Veterans Day Assembly and Breakfast, which will begin at 7:50 a.m. The school is located at 600 Harlan Ave, Johnstown.

“It is truly an honor to be asked by my alma mater to ‘come home’ and deliver the keynote address at this first-of-a-kind ceremony,” Rigby said. “That honor is amplified by the fact that we’ll be honoring the men and women who serve and have served our country and thanking them for the sacrifices they make and made.”

The morning will begin with the assembly, which is scheduled to include speeches by both students and veterans. Following the ceremony, the veteran attendees and presenters will be invited to the junior-senior high school cafeteria for breakfast as a way of saying thank you for their service.

Rigby is a freshman member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He is a member of the Children and Youth, Local Government, Urban Affairs and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees.

Questions about this event or any legislative issue should be directed to Rigby’s Johnstown district office by calling 814-536-9818.
